You'll feel as free as a bird in Birdcage Villa. Splendidly situated on a peninsula, it boasts some of the island's most magnificent panoramic and far-reaching views of neighboring cays and the beautiful Big Major Harbor. Birdcage is a two-story, two-bedroom house, whose every window and door presents a unique vantage point and an incredible view.

Spread your wings in this spacious two-bedroom abode - open plan, with an impressive kitchen, breakfast bar, comfortable living room with fireplace and dining area; Birdcage has an inviting covered porch, popular for afternoon lounging, that is cooled by passing breezes.

While away countless lazy hours reclining on your veranda, as you watch the comings and goings of sailboats, the interplay of light and shadow on the intricately hued seawater, and the fascinating spectacle of the narrow, rapidly flowing channel below that abruptly changes direction at a certain point each day.

Take a dip in your personal fresh-water pool as you thrill to the sound of nearby waves meeting the sugary, white-sand shore. Immerse yourself completely in the infectious rhythms of the islands as the brilliant blue tides ebb and flow around your unrivaled tropical hideaway. At the back, steps lead down to your villa's beach and small dock – the perfect hideaway villa for family or friends.

Please note that Birdcage is a split-level unit with the guest bedroom on the ground floor below the master bedroom on the main floor. The staircase and access to the guest bedroom are outside the kitchen on the porch and should be considered when traveling with small children.

Fowl Cay offers the best of both worlds when it comes to dining. Every day can be a different combination that suits you best.

​Prepare a late breakfast on your villa patio, take a picnic lunch to a secluded beach, or feast on a four-course dinner at the Hill House restaurant. Whatever way you choose, dining will be easy and delicious!

​And don't forget, all food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) both in your villa and at the Hill House restaurant are included.

Activities

One of the biggest misconceptions about Fowl Cay is that island life may be too quiet for some. A remote piece of paradise surrounded by nothing but miles of clear water and sandy beaches – sounds idyllic, but what is there to do apart from soaking up the rays? Plenty!

​Each villa at Fowl Cay comes complete with its own powerboat giving you the freedom to explore paradise at your own pace. Fowl Cay is the perfect hub for daily mini-adventures. Make the most of your powerboat to picnic on secluded island beaches; explore coral reefs bursting with marine life, or feed wild nurse sharks and sting rays. Whether you choose to do everything or nothing at all – you'll be in awe of the entertaining nature of the Exumas and the unpretentious charm of Fowl Cay.

Getting to Exumas

Scheduled flights and private chartered flights are available directly from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (1 hour 30 minutes) or Nassau, The Bahamas (40 minutes) into Staniel Cay Airstrip.​

Upon landing at Staniel Cay Airstrip—just 1.25 miles from Fowl Cay—a member of our resort team will personally greet you, handle your luggage, and escort you to the dock. From there, enjoy a breathtaking 7-minute boat ride to the Cay.​

Airport transfers for guests arriving from Staniel Cay Airstrip to Fowl Cay Resort are complimentary. You are also welcome to travel to Fowl Cay with your boat. Private planes may land at Staniel Cay's 3,030 ft.-paved airstrip. You may also charter a seaplane to land near our resort.

Please note that check-in time is 3 PM and check-out time is 10 AM. Plan your inbound and outbound charter flights accordingly.
